I think these two releases should be merged into one:
They both link to the same Bandcamp page. Though I don’t understand why the first one has an extra second disk with 3 tracks.

You can ask the original editor.
Because they aren’t the same. One was added from Bandcamp as you state. The one with the additional 3 tracks, shouldn’t be linked to Bandcamp. I checked archives (The 8-Bit Adventure Album | Michael Staple) and compared to today and it’s never had the additional 3 tracks.
The release with the additional 3 tracks was added based on the VGMdb entry (THE 8-BIT ADVENTURE ALBUM - VGMdb) which has the additional 3 tracks. It states it’s based on a YouTube release.
The RGs should definitely be merged though.
https://web.archive.org/web/20111215151041/http://djmax-eproductions.bandcamp.com/album/the-8-bit-adventure-album (link from VGMdb discussions) says it’s 43 tracks, plus the three tracks from Ate-Bit Jams | DJ MAX-E Productions as bonus tracks (though the archived Bandcamp page only lists 5 tracks). Not sure how Bandcamp worked then and if that old release could have become the new one and then lost its bonus tracks, or if the new one was always different.
And the recordings.
That’s why I looked at archives.org. It’s not had the 3 bonus tracks since at least 2015 and different track listing is enough to warrant a different release. But yes, it might have had them at one time. But that would still be a different release. Gets confusing. Why I don’t like Bandcamp editing.
I am procrastinating from something annoying at work, so I have put in some edits, leaving them open for voting: Open Edits for DJ Max-E - MusicBrainz
The edits more clearly separate out the YouTube and the Bandcamp source, changing some data that got mixed between the two, and merge the two release groups.
