I have some compilation albums and i would like to replace the metadata with the album that the original song was released on. These albums are like the Greatest hits of the 80s albums. So whenever I look up “Living on a Prayer” the results are totally polluted with every greatest hits album ever released. But it is super difficult to sort through all that to find Slippery when wet. Is there a way to facilitate this?

Funnily enough, I wrote an answer for someone else who wanted to do that.
The main trick is making use of the OPTIONS \ Metadata \ Preferred Releases sliders as shown in the image in that thread. That will then ignore more of the compilations in the matches.
