Can anyone tell me which image is better in quality (as in closest to the final export)? I compared both images using photoshop (pc) and found that they are not the same.

By eye they look the same. The JPG should just be a smaller file as it is compressed. PNG is less compressed and takes up a lot more file space.
As those two images are both 20MB, I don’t think there is much compression enabled on the JPG inthis case.
Usually, the PNG is “best” if you are after least compression.
