Searching for edits by various criteria is a complicated task for the database backend, and at least in the past and for certain search queries, they used to time out often. We made quite a few tweaks intended to improve performance (collected in MBS-8738) with the latest schema change four months ago, though.
If you use the edit search, have you noticed an improvement? Are there still certain types of queries that don’t work in practice due to timeouts?
