Event series vs event for multi-day concerts

I am editing a concert that by one artist, held in one venue, for multiple days.

The style guidelines for events say that a multi-day festival should be entered as an event, linked to another event representing one day of the festival using the “part of” relationship.

The subheading of the guidelines uses “Multi-day and multi-stage events” but makes no mention of other event types like concerts or competitions.

You can create an event series for “runs,” which is defined as “a series of performances of the same show at the same venue.” This seems to apply to my concert, but this makes our treatment of concert runs inconsistent with our treatment of single-stage, multi-day festivals (for multi-day festivals, guidelines say: “For multi-day festivals, enter an event for the festival, and a sub-event for every day (and venue, if needed)” - events for festivals but series for concerts?

Does the guideline above apply to events that are not festivals? Should I create an event for the multi-day and link it to events for each individual day, or create an event series for the entire concert?

were the shows ticketed together or seperately? I believe a ticket should always have an event representing it (tho there can be sub-events to those events)

beyond that, if they played the same show each night, they should be part of a series (a tour or a run, I don’t know if they’re mutually exclusive or not)

if each night was a different show, I might enter it the same way you’d do a festival, with a multi-day event, especially if it’s marketed as such

you got a link for your example?

I believe this is a feature, not a bug.

imo a series of concerts at one venue (assuming it’s the same artist and the events are not connected/it would be redundant to go every night) does not comprise a single “event”. I would only link them with a series entity.

Tickets were sold together as in the concertgoer can choose which date of the concert to attend. Each night has the same rundown.

That sounds like a run series then
