The current UI for events uses the same “high tech skilled” interface as the encyclopedia.
This is probably functionally opaque to 95% of internet users when used to search Events. For performers who want only the highly intelligent to attend this approach will be ideal.
For performers who aim more broadly, a search page that “holds the hand” of the user, and has nice little boxes with labels like Country, City, Suburb, Post Code/Zip Code, Genre, Date, Performer, Venue & Start Time into which the User can enter their preferences, would seem beneficial.
