I just received the first message in the new design. The plain text variant looks quite different: It’s longer, harder to read IMO and apparently breaks URLs due forced line breaks. It also seems to fill each line with extra spaces which can further distort the text.

I also noticed some other changes, like the From header always saying “MusicBrainz Server” rather than the username. And not using Sender anymore.
Now one will have to search the entire subject to find and sort messages by a certain user.
BTW, it’s first telling that I may reply (the user has actually shared their email address) and then that I should not reply to this message
