As per subject: which one is the correct artist name?
I’ve just noticed that Tarkus CD from 2004 has “ELP” as artist, but the same album from different years has “Emerson, Lake & Palmer”… so I’m confused.

Both are Correct, see the scans of the 1987 and 2004 releases:

So, one edition (release) gets ELP and the other gets Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
Artist credit allows that.
And the release group gets the original artist credit.
