Hello, when editing the tracklist, the button labeled “Add medium” lets you add each CD separately. You’ll click it for each additional CD.

When you edit the release, at the bottom there’s a button “add medium” that lets you add more CDs. Since you already added all tracks, the process is a bit more complicated.

  • Look at the bottom of medium 1 for the “track parser” button and click that.
  • In the opened dialog, completely select (mark) all lines for CD 2.
  • Right-click on the marked text and choose “cut” (or press CTRL-x), the remaining list should go from 1-20 to 3-01 directly (an empty line doesn’t matter).
  • Click “parse tracks” in the bottom right of the track parser dialog, then “close” in the bottom left.
  • Scroll down to the bottom, click “add medium”.
  • The opened dialog should now show “enter a tracklist below” and an empty text input.
  • Right-click into the text input and select “paste” (or press CTRL-v), now the lines for tracks 2-10 to 2-20 should be there.
  • Click “add medium” at the bottom right of the dialog, then you should have “medium 2” with the according 20 tracks.
  • Right below “medium 2” select “CD” for “format”.
  • Repeat for CDs 3-5.
  • When done, click “next” at the bottom to go to “recordings”.
  • On the recordings page, scroll down to “medium 2”, you’ll see that it says “(add a new recording)” for all following tracks.
  • Click “edit”, and in the opened dialog check the correct recording (probably the first for most/all tracks).
  • In the bottom right, click “next”.
  • Repeat until all are done.
  • Scroll to the bottom, click next.
  • Double check the changes, add a nice edit note, click “enter edit”.
That should do it. (And if there’s an easier way I’d like to know that too.)

I can fix this for you if you want as it is complex.

But I would ask first - Isn’t “The Philharmonic of Prague” the same as "Prague Philharmonic Orchestra - MusicBrainz

Or maybe this one: The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra - MusicBrainz

Fot the orchestra I cannot answer but I think so it the same like a lot of other terms here , because I search a lot before doing this new “release”…

Thanks by advnace if you do it .

I will do this as my edits will also go through as an AE… watch this space…

Haha - this utterly scares the GUI into freezing… may take a little while to complete…

This has now been split. Please check all looks good. Also I think the capitals need fixing as French releases don’t put capitals on every word like that.

With the orchestra, what does it say in the booklet? Any further hints? Personally I think this looks like a The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra - MusicBrainz release as they create CDs like this.

Look at some of the aliases. Especially the French ones.
The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra - Aliases - MusicBrainz

I think this is them.

Thanks for the French too! Unfortunately I don’t know more, I don’t personally have this cd pack, just a release…

But now that I see this the tracks on spotify

I think we should put multi artist and I must have made a mistake, I’m sorry, I just wanted it to play well on my music app like my other albums.

Many thanks for the help

edit: I made a mistake and left the automatic translator on… lol

Sorry, can’t speak French. But I can use a translator so I understand you.

I agree this is likely a Various Artist compilation. That leaves us a puzzle as to what to credit the tracks. So tracks need to be “unknown” as we don’t have the booklet.

I have seen that image before. I cannot remember where. These compilations are often made from many orchestras.

I have edited my last sent

May not count since it’s not the physical CD, but Qobuz has an at a glance similar digital version of this album that lists individual artist credits: https://www.qobuz.com/fr-fr/album/les-100-plus-belles-musiques-du-cinema-various-artists/0884977145595

Have added the Spotify version which gives a more complete track list. And slightly better capitalisation. Technically I should go through and take the dashes out and use brackets… but that is for someone else. Okay… fixed the dashes. Still not perfect, but closer.

I also recognise many of those tracks from other compilations. I expect if you “Submit AcoustIDs” for these they could be linked to other recordings. Compilations with covers by City of Prague Orchestra get repackaged a LOT. This is why I recognised them.
