I just noticed that the Dutch music encyclopedia muziekencyclopedie.nl, which used to be a very good source for biographical information of even quite obscure Dutch artists, has been taken offline this month. According to the blurb, they have merged with Muziekweb.nl and the old encyclopedia has been archived, which probably means it won’t ever see the light of day again (Muziekweb hasn’t changed one bit, so we are gaining exactly nothing).
Needless to say, this sucks ape shit. The website is available on the Wayback Machine, but searching it won’t work, and there seems to be no index of artists. There are lots of links in MusicBrainz to individual biographies, which all have to be changed to Wayback Machine hits. Could someone run a bot for that?
