I fear this must be a dumb question, but I do not seem to find any answer or hint.
I am doing a fuzzy toc search like:
/ws/2/discid/?cdstubs=no&inc=release-groups&toc=1+12+201775+183+17370+33190+53775+73778+91198+108330+123113+143860+161433+169370+179008&fmt=json
That toc does correspond exactly with https://musicbrainz.org/cdtoc/lj21VAxso1FvjuJbw66sv0xSHb4-
Still a different result is coming out. I am assuming it is one with the same toc, but how can I get to the one I am searching?
Is it just possible that your discID is not yet associated to the release you are seeking?
Funny - someone else just asked a similar same question in a different way. [feature request] Add DiscID in the web interface
I posted a simple answer in there that may be of use here too
It’s strange. Looks like a bug to me. The TOC you linked to matches perfectly, and the one release it finds actually has quite different lengths: https://musicbrainz.org/release/05cb50ee-8208-4802-b9e5-cd106a0067cb
The docs say to use -
as placeholder for no disc IDs, so it would be https://musicbrainz.org//ws/2/discid/-?toc=1+12+201775+183+17370+33190+53775+73778+91198+108330+123113+143860+161433+169370+179008&fmt=json
, but it does not make a difference to your query.
I think this should be reported as a bug to https://tickets.metabrainz.org/projects/MBS/
