Deep Purple Overseas Series

Hi, I’ve been adding some releases and following the first release group I came across, I began adding them with the title “The Official Deep Purple (Overseas) Live Series” plus the show (Live in Paris 1975, Live in Copenhagen 1972, etc)

That’s also what you see in the cover of the albums

But I came across the Series in the Series section: The Official Deep Purple (Overseas) Live Series - MusicBrainz

So my question is, should the release groups be just the “Live in (city+year)” (Release group “Copenhagen 1972” by Deep Purple - MusicBrainz) and add the series field or should the title be presented with the whole “The Official Deep Purple (Overseas) Live Series: Live in (city+year)”

Hi macaumetal,

Given the phrase “The Official Deep Purple (Overseas) Live Series” appears on every cover and is a reference to the series, it should not be included in the release name nor the release group name.

The covers show “Paris 1975” & “Stockholm 1970”, while the spines and back show “Live in Paris 1975” & “Live in Stockholm 1970”. I think either of these names would be suitable, and it’s best to stay consistent.
