Custom notes/annotations on collections/releases?

Sometimes I like to take notes on albums I’ve listened to. These are not reviews and not intended to be published, just general notes. Will there ever be a way to attach notes to either a release/release group or perhaps on the Collection entities (like discogs does)?

I feel like this is the only killer feature missing for me to not have to use discogs.

The databases changes seem to be done already and the only thing left is the user interface.
Which probably won’t come before the React conversion is done:
