Besides, how often is it synched with the Musicbrainz releases?

As far as I can see in a Remove cover art edit search (earlier edits did not contain CAA ID) with mb. CAA LINKS user script:
When we remove images from a release, they are just unlinked (like AcoustIDs) but they still are over there at CAA.
