Can duplicate recordings within the same release be mass merged?

I found this release, where it appears that a beginning editor created the release with two identical mediums. Yesterday I entered an edit to delete one of the mediums, but I just realized that each medium created separate recordings, so deleting the medium is going to leave some orphaned recordings. What’s needed is a “Merge Mediums” function, I suppose, where I have the same choices I have when merging releases (append recordings, or merge recordings).

I can go through and manually merge the recordings, but I’d rather not, if there’s a way to do it in one go. I tried @jesus2099 's Mass Merge Recordings script, but it doesn’t seem to be made for recordings under the same release.

That definitely looks like a duplicate, but are you sure? I think I’ve seen releases like Release “Platina” by Prinsessia - MusicBrainz that have the same tracklist printed twice under different headings, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a beginner editor didn’t realize that the heading was important to add to MBz. Not that I’d expect karaoke versions for classical music, but maybe the release has two arrangements of each work?

I just found this script, which looks like what I need. I installed it, but I can’t find any way to invoke it. I don’t see a button or link, or anything.

It does, you need to select a different starting track:

Yeah, I think I’m pretty sure. As far as I can tell, this is a reissue of a pretty old album from the 70’s.

Ah, I see. I just started using the script recently, so it’s a new experience.
Thanks.

Worked like a charm. Thanks again.
