Since 2010, Chucho Valdés has released two albums with the band The Afro-Cuban Messengers (TACM).
It seems this band has only released albums with Chucho Valdés.

In MusicBrainz, the credit exists for Valdés+TACM merged: Chucho Valdés & The Afro‐Cuban Messengers - MusicBrainz

I think it would be better to separate Valdés from The Afro-Cuban Messengers.
Indeed, perhaps one day they will record something without Valdés.

I would suggest to leave it as is, as it seems to be primarily just a backing band for Valdés. If they ever record without him, the credits can be split at that time.

I have added Valdés as an eponymous member of the group.
