Now I believe that there have been some threads already that touched on this topic, but they were not so clear as to why there were sometimes multiple “artist”s for an “artist_credit” in the artist_credit_name table in the musicbrainz datadump. It would be great if anyone could help out. Thanks!
Something can be credited to one or more artists, and when it’s credited to more than one artist, you’ll have several artists in the artist credit. See Trent Reznor for example where almost every release is a collaboration.
