Your alias was a mix of Japanese and English.
You had put the English in the sort name only.

The recording title is already English/Latin: Instant Crush (radio edit)
The track tuitle インスタント・クラッシュ (ラジオ・エディット) is the axact English/Katakana transcription of it.
I have this MP3 file. Picard won’t translate it. He translated other songs. That one is left.

There is currently no support for translating recording titles. If you want to have translated titles you need to tag against a release which has the titles translated.

And will changing Language to Japanese help?
Then maybe Picard won’t take this recording into account?
The language of Picard’s UI has no influence on the matching. Rather I bet the existing title of your file is in Japanese, hence this matched better. Just tag it against the english recording and be done with it.

Also it’s not really in Japanese, but in the Japanese characters used for representing words in other languages:
インスタント・クラッシュ = Insutanto kurasshu ≈ Instant Crush
Debatable I guess: when Japanese words are written in Latin characters there isn’t really a question because Latin characters aren’t unique to a particular language (so it wouldn’t make sense to set the language to English for example), whereas I think Katakana is unique to Japanese.
