Adding multiple Disc IDs to a release

Hi everyone,

I’m adding a physical edition that corresponds to this digital release: https://musicbrainz.org/release/064d9dab-4e47-41b3-9637-e7e9c52f1452.
My copy is a cardboard box containing five individual CD sleeves.

During the editing process I can attach the first Disc ID to the first medium without any trouble, and I can change the format of the remaining four media to “CD.” However, I can’t add Disc IDs to those four discs. Should I submit the release as-is and then attach the remaining Disc IDs one by one afterward?

I have another question about the track titles. Consider for instance the first track on disc one. On both the CD sleeve and the digital release, it is shown as “The Wild One (From ‘The Wild One’)”. The existing recording in the database, however, is simply titled “The Wild One.”

Should I drop the parenthetical film reference, or keep the full wording as it appears on the sleeve?

Thanks for any guidance that can make my edits better! :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, I know it’s not official guidelines, but many editors have agreed to drop (From “whatever movie or tv show”) from titles.

Also, I always have to just add the release with the separate mediums and use picard to attach each discID after the fact. I don’t think there is another way. However, I’d search on Discogs first and then use the import from Discogs script to speed up the process of adding it if they have it. From this point on, you can insert CD 2 and submit disc ID to existing release medium 2 (paste its URL in release search field).

Thank you both for you inputs! I’ll go on entering the release and add the remaining mediums afterwards.
