In the style guidelines it is specified that live recordings should not contain "(live)β in the title, but in the appropriate fields/disambiguation.
However, does this also apply to songs in other languages?
Specifically in Spanish (en directo), the style guide mentions this particular case:
Which is contradictory unless each language follows different rules for live recordings.
Yes. The live thing applies to all languages, but itβs for recordings. If an album has a bunch of tracks and then a bonus track βX (en directo)β then that still should be kept on the track title (if itβs a live album and all tracks say β(en directo)β then Iβd personally drop it as useless).
Alright, that makes sense . I have seen quite a few English tracks without the (live) information, so I thought it applied to both tracks and recordings, but it may just be because that specific disc is live (deluxe editions, β¦), so it is a bit redundant.
