Is there a way to add bpm and key into musicbrainz info from beatport and traxsource?
When the accousticbrainz system was running, it would scan tracks for what it thinks the bpm and key is and some values are not quite correct.
It would be awesome if there would be some feature that allows for importing bpm and key from beatport and traxsource into MusicBrainz and replacing what accousticbrainz had scanned for.
beatport is not 100% accurate for BPMs, especially songs that are not around 128, for example - Project Z by Zomboy is 150 BPM, beatport reports 112.
Together as One by Excision is 140 BPM, beatport reports 122.
It’s also not great for songs that change tempo midway through, for obvious reasons, Boing Clash Boom by Dada Life goes from 128 to 145 BPM, beatport only reports 128.
I don’t think traxsource is any better, the current #1 track in the R&B / Hip Hop category is reported to be 189 BPM(!!) when it’s actually around 115
