It depends on what DNS server you’re using. I use Cloudflare/1.1.1.1 and it’s been “offline” a couple times using it.

Just want to report a small anomaly where atisket and the Deezer website disagree on a release date: atisket says 2013-02-14, but the Deezer website shows 2013-03-04 (which seems to be the general release date for this release on other places).
This is due to a discrepancy between the Deezer frontend and the API (atisket uses the API):

So it looks like Deezer stores multiple dates for each release? Which date is shown on the website and which returned by the API?
First time I’ve seen a difference between those…

We should collect examples like this as it illustrates that digital / streaming platforms shouldn’t be treated as canonical sources of information about a release!

I’ve only done this once and I’m pretty sure the release date shown in Apple’s store for that release (and imported by atisket) is complete fiction…
Relying on a shop to give accurate data is what has always confused me about this method. The shop just wants to sell, they are not worried about a release date. Look at Amazon’s random release dates for older CDs!
Similar to not worrying about release countries as they only concerned about where it is for sale today.

Brilliant helper so thanks for the time and effort involved. Just one thing I would like to see is it picking up multiple artists better, currently it detects the first artist and not very often a second or third artist per track. Normally I have to go back to Deezer for example to double check all tracks then add generally 10+ additional artists for a lot of tracks. Is there a way you could code this to query each tracks url and feed the info more accurately? I don’t care if it takes longer as long as it’s accurate, the time spent double checking (and adding) all tracks takes around 10 minutes as it is now. This is mainly for Compilations.

Here is one I just did, compare a-tisket with the actual Deezer link, yes in this case I am using Deezer as reference.

I count 13 I had to add manually, others are a lot more. Some like “Above & Beyond” will enter from the track url (ie not from the main page) then it will miss the ones/s on the main album page. Most are missed from the main album page.
I agree. The iTunes importer script does it right, but a-tisket combines all the artist on iTunes into one artist. It’s weird. Maybe look at how the iTunes importer script handles the import of artist and incorporate it in a-tisket.

And yes. Deezer doesn’t pick up any artist other than the first artist. I don’t remember if the Deezer import script does it right or not. If it does, than I suggest some tweaking as well.

Well Deezer is pretty simple, it’s artist, artist, artist etc looking at the track page. On the main page some artists are not even there - you have to open the track page to see them.

Tested this again , results for iTunes and Deezer at once = no featured artists
iTunes excluding Deezer = all featured artists.
And from memory Spotify has no issues. - spotify has the same issues as Deezer.

When I paste link, get ID, then search, I immediately get brought to a blank white page of address https://etc.marlonob.info/atisket/?preferred_countries=us&itu_id=879490659&preferred_vendor=itu

I was having the same issue yesterday but now I’m not. I think it’s an issue with a-tisket not being able to reach the API. I had the same issue a few days ago with Deezer and found out Deezer was out basically everywhere when I checked the server status for Deezer.

It be nice to have a copy on a different server, just in case. He hasn’t responded to any of my request in over 6 months and I’m worried that eventually this site will go down as he doesn’t seem to have the time or respond to new small fixes. (country lists, etc.)
