WindowsError: [Error 8] Not enough storage is available to process this command

I hope this hasn’t been asked previously. I have been using Picard daily now for several weeks, and everything was running smoothly. Suddenly, yesterday, Picard stopped working.

Initially, I was trying to save a file into an established album (I missed it on my first go round). However, the file won’t save. Picard throws the error message in the title.

I then tried to work on some brand new material that needed tagging. In this case, I selected the folder, and Picard indicated that it was importing files, but nothing appeared in the left hand pane. I’ve rebooted my system several times, and tried re-installing picard. Nothing has helped so far.

I’ve tried attaching the debug log for your reading pleasure, but I keep getting an error message saying that new users can only have 5 links in their post. Since there are no links, I’m a bit confused.

After a bit more experimenting, I’ve found that Picard is working, just not on one particular file.

As the error message indicates disk space issues, how much disk space do you have on the disk where you are saving the files? How much disk space on your windows system drive (if it is separate)? How large is the file in question?

I’m getting the same error, with an 863 MB FLAC file on a disk with >100 GB free space. Picard is set to tag, rename and move the file to another folder on the same disk. All disks have at least twice as much free space as the size of the file. There’s also more than 10 GB RAM available and Picard is only using 55 MB of it. The result is that the file doesn’t get tagged or moved. Here’s the debug log:
