Why are folders not listed in alphabetical order?

How can I get the list of folders in the File Browser pane to list alphabetically? They are seemingly in a completely random order.

It is a known bug. The folders are supposed to be ordered alphabetical, but on Windows a bug in the underlying framework Picard uses causes this to not work on drives other than C:.

Having reread this issue it should probably be splitted into two separate ones.
