Would be great to see on AB site list of research done using AB data, or projects who use it. I hear something about Funkwhale somehow use AB similarity API and that’s all.

I fully agree. I think one user is ListenBrainz and the recommendation thing the LB team
is working on 
There AB data is one of the data sources used, but I don’t know the details.
AFAIK they have been looking into it if that is interesting for them, but nothing implemented yet.
