Both include recordings with link to their musicbrainz ID. Both can have coauthors. And is it possible to add same lists in both services that will be synchronized automatically instead of controlling them manually every time, when I add a new recording if I want to have the same collection everywhere?
A recording collection in MB can be used for whatever you want in theory, but the main purpose would generally be to do MusicBrainz-specific things with it, such as being notified of edits to the recordings, or I guess to list all the recordings you own (although using releases for that probably makes more sense for most people).
