Upload Picard Genres to Musicbrainz?

Firstly, apologies if this has been requested before, or if i have missed some existing functionality, or even if it’s a completely stupid suggestion!

I wondered if it might ever be possible to export tagged genres from within picard to the corresponding artist/albums in musicbrainz

for example if i have added the genre tag “Jazz Funk” to an album in picard, I could then export or upload that tag to the corresponding release in musicbrainz

That’s not yet supported by Picard itself, but there is a plugin that can do this:

wow that’s great thanks - not yet suppported makes me hopeful, in the meantime will have a look at the plugin
