is there any way to point to a specific release for a track? this track for example https://musicbrainz.org/recording/36ae618e-4a03-47bb-b75b-c837721ea6fa i want to point it exactly to this version of the track in this album here ListenBrainz as thats what ive listened to but for whatever reason i can’t seem to point to it? anytime i try to link this track i just get the P3 version here ListenBrainz , ive dealt with this before but is there any way around this? id rather not what i listen to be recorded wrongly
This is a common query/complaint - as far as I know it still isn’t possible. Unless you submit a manual listen.
Personally I don’t mind not having it. You listened to the recording, and it doesn’t matter where you listened it from.
I think it would be great to have this for the Stats page. The album plays stats are all wrong because the listens don’t match correctly to the release
I’d also love this. Some of my ““top albums”” I’ve never actually even listened to, unfortunately rendering that statistic mostly useless in an otherwise accurate and interesting statistics page. ![]()
Well to me the problem is that a recording only gives listens to one album instead of all of them…
I fixed this in Alistral but it would be great that LB natively support that as well
