Top albums of last week does not match listens

Hello,
Last week I listened to a bunch of Beatles albums. The albums are all ripped from CDs and correctly tagged in Picard.I listened using Power Amp (with the Listenbrainz plug in that submits the correct release MBID)
When I checked my Listenbrainz each day, all listens were showing up as the correct albums.

But my top albums of last week are incorrect, e.g. this American version:
Release group “Something New” by The Beatles - MusicBrainz instead of A Hard Day’s Night: Release group “A Hard Day’s Night” by The Beatles - MusicBrainz

Does anyone know why? Is there anything that can be done?
(The reason I ripped my CDs was because I was sick of streaming service listens being assigned to random albums as there is no release MBID submitted)

Hello @boysmithers !

This is a known issue, the release information (including the release MBID) is currently not taken into account in the automatic mapper we use to map listens to MB recordings.

However we all want more accuracy, and we are currently rewriting the automatic mapper for a variety of reasons, one being release support.

So for now I’m afraid its a waiting game until we finish the new and improved mapper.

Will it make album listens count for only the mapped release or all of them?

As far as stats go I am not sure, tagging in @lucifer for his insights

Just wondering, as my most listened album is actually the fifth due to singles stealing the listens. I know some people don’t like having listens counting for all release groups, but I’m curious about the LB team take on this
