There is no connection to the MusicBrainz

I cannot log in to the site, despite the fact that all the settings are by default. Inserting the token generates the error "Unexpected request error (HTTP Code 0) with this log "E: 19:09:53.845 webservice._handle_reply:535: Network request error for https://musicbrainz.org/oauth2/token → Connection closed (QT code 2, HTTP code 0)
E: 19:09:53,846 oauth.on_exchange_authorization_code_finished:241: OAuth: authorization_code exchange failed: b’'. When trying to scan music, it gives the error “Network request error for A Track by Track Interview → Connection closed (QT code 2, HTTP code 0)”. I use a VPN from another country and at least my site loads with it, it doesn’t work at all without it. WireGuard has prescribed that it is also used for MusicBrainz (with or without it, nothing changes). This error is on Windows 11 22H2, the Firewall is turned off. The program version is 2.12.3.

Can you access musicbrainz.org with your web browser?

Do you have any firewall software that might block the request? From the error messages it looks like the network request fails very early. Make sure you have allowed network access for Picard in your firewall settings.

For the Windows built-in firewall there should be a popup asking for permission to access the network the first time Picard tries to do a network request. If you dismissed that you can give Picard network access somewhere in the Windows firewall settings.

This could be the problem. Perhaps that particular VPN server’s IP address is blocked. As @outsidecontext mentioned, this would also block you from accessing the MusicBrainz site from your browser.
