The concept of AcoustID

I’ve forgotten to tell you: I’ve got the French release

That’s probably status quo:
JP: Recording “3 Deuces” by Marcus Miller - Fingerprints - MusicBrainz
F/US: Recording “3 Deuces” by Marcus Miller - Fingerprints - MusicBrainz

You do know how many jokes I want to throw in there? I thought this was 3 Deuces, not 3 Chords. Sorry - could not resist.

As to your links. Yep, you now have clarity on those two Recordings. One AcoustID each. And I hope your F CD matches the F/US AcoustID and confirms our edits are correct.

Perfect

(I haven’t checked yet, but I will do!) → I submit 12079758 (AcoustID 9d372daa-b3a7-40d2-a1d9-a415a8c97e7c) … as expected, no. 95 with this fingerprint

And number 49 for the Picard supplied Musicbrainz link. (Compare to your initial screen shot in post #1)

btw what is the merge scripts name here? I can’t find it, it looks very useful.

You are looking at a script that allows merging of recordings from the AcoustID page. Can be really handy for those tracks that appear on dozens of VA collections. Lots of tick boxes on the right and a big merge button at the bottom.

It is a @loujin script. One of many quality scripts they have produced: GitHub - loujine/musicbrainz-scripts: Collection of greasemonkey scripts for MusicBrainz A list that is well worth a look through.

Merge recordings from AcoustID page is the magic button you seek in this case.
