I only recently started using this software and it’s been very helpful. However while selecting multiple albums to “save” I’ve accidentally dragged selections to one album, resulting in all the tracks moving to the wrong album. For this there should be an undo option or the ability to turn off this drag and drop action. I end up removing these albums without saving assuming they’ll be corrected in the next scan. Is there a solution that I’m missing?
The only real “undo” in this case is that you can simply drag the incorrect matches back to the clustering pane (or to the correct album and track in the album pane).
Remember that using “scan” is pretty much a last resort to retrieve the albums for matching. If there is already some metadata in the files (from the ripper or whatever), you’re likely to get much better results using cluster and lookup.
then these files automatically go to the right panel of Picard and you cannot use Cluster and Lookup.
No, the don’t. They go to the right if they already contain recording and release MBIDs, which very likely is not the case if someone starts to use the application. Also files can always be dragged back to the left pane if needed.
