Is there any way to use scripts such that if there’s more than one track in an album with the same title, they could be distinguished by something like [1], [2], etc? I’m not talking about file names, but the actual title tagged.
I don’t believe that it can be done in a script, but it should be possible to do in a plugin. The reason is that scripts are applied to each track separately, and I don’t know of any way to carry information from one track to another. This is covered briefly in the Scripting section of the Extending Picard chapter in the Picard User Guide.

Yeah, that’s what I suspected. It’s the same with scripting in MusicBee. I might have to look seriously at doing a plugin, lol.
