Review/research “best” workflow (2018)

Hi all,

Thanks for software

Hope you’re well

I originally posted this topic in 2016 and generated some useful discussion so thought I would follow up with a (hopefully) more clearly illustrated workflow

After some observations with a test case[e] here’s v1 of a script to list the “best” order of input actions to yield the least destructive output

[ ] Automatically scan new files
[x] Ignore MBIDs when loading new files

1. start/restart mb
2. cluster
3. lookup
4. save/transfer gold to gold releases
5. start/restart mb
6. cluster
7. scan
8. save/transfer gold to gold releases
9. start/restart mb
10. cluster
11. lookup
12. find existing release
13. save/transfer silver to gold releases
14. start/restart mb
15. cluster
16. scan
17. find existing release
18. save/transfer silver to gold releases
19. start/restart mb
20. lookup
21. create new release
22. save/transfer unmatched to gold releases
23. start/restart mb
24. scan
25. create new release
26. save/transfer unmatched to gold releases

If you have any issues (e.g. questions/queries) happy to help

Hope this is clearer than my previous, original, post

Keep up great work!

Hello, im really new to this.
sorry about the silly question but how is thi sput into a script?

Hi,

Sorry, I don’t understand the question

I created the script manually to remind me of the order to run commands, there’s no automation here

Hope this helps!

Regards

thank you,
it would be great if we could automate it
