My forum username appears corrupted due to an accent/UTF-8 encoding issue:
→ FrÃ_dÃ_ric_LAVERDE
My correct username should be: Frederic_LAVERDE (without accents).
Could you please rename my account accordingly?

Why LAVERDE, by the way, and not Frédéric la Verde , like your artist name ?
I tried several usernames on try.discourse.org and indeed, spaces and non ASCII characters are refused.
These default Discourse settings are more strict than MusicBrainz username allowed characters.
We should change Discourse settings to allow at least all characters that are accepted for MusicBrainz usernames.
When Discourse was installed for MusicBrainz, it was not possible.
But now, it seems that it is!
I don’t know if it’s possible to test these new allowed_unicode_username_characters and unicode_usernames settings:

This username cannot actually be changed on the Discourse side for us since the names come from MusicBrainz: “An error occurred: Username needs to be updated on authentication provider side, since auth_overrides_username setting is enabled.”
Yes, it’s something at SSO level that we could fix for future users.
Actually, if we improve the SSO username stuff, it seems it will auto-update the Discourse username .
