I really like AcousticBrainz, I think its super cool and am the sad nerd who tells all his nerd friends about it.
One thing I have thought about while spending an afternoon dealing with a lot of live recordings, is if AcousticBrainz could possibly try and automatically detect whether a track is likely to be a live recording. The way I thought this might be possible is that as AcousticBrainz can detect things like voice gender and such, if it would be possible to detect things like crowd applause and then possibly give it a score?
I’m not sure, unfortunately I don’t know much about the inner workings of the detection design but was just something I thought of.
