I seem to be having intermittent problems with Picard reading files from my NAS. In developing the Classical Extras plugin, I am reading the orig_metadata tags on files and combining them with metadata from the track_metadata_processor. Sometimes, Picard seems unable to get the orig_metadata from a file (even though on other occasions it will get the data from the exact same file). I am wondering if this is because it is taking too long for the read to succeed and Picard doesn’t wait long enough.
