Picard not saving to mapped network drive Win11

How to create the issue I am talking about:

  1. Fresh install of MusicBrainz Picard 2.12.3 on Win11
  2. “Add Folder” point to K:\Music\ (This is a network share created through Windows)
  3. Click “Cluster”
  4. Click Options → Preset 3
  5. CLick on the first Album in the clustered list on the left pane (All Eyez on Me)
  6. Click Scan
  7. Album shows up in the right pane, it’s a silver record. Click that and press Save
  8. Files are deleted from K:\Music\2Pac and moved to C:\Users\Blackburd\Music\2Pac\All Eyez on Me

How do I change the save folder from C:\Users\Blackburd to K:\Music?

Check OPTIONS menu and make sure MOVE FILES is not ticked.

I want the album folders though?

So you are trying to MOVE the files from K:? Not just retag them?

I want to MOVE the files from their current location which is K:\Music\Artist\ to K:\Music\Artist\Album\Filename

What do you have under OPTIONS \ OPTIONS \ File Naming ?

If there is a “.” here then I guess you have a bug…

Apparently I missed a huge option labeled “Destination Directory” in options. Sorry for the confusion!
