Today we have releases a release candidate for the upcoming Picard 3.0, see the blog post:
This is a great opportunity to help us with testing and translation. If everything goes well we’ll release the final version later this month.

There’s no Linux build yet? At least a flatpak?

There is a Snap package, install via pip from PyPI and packages for Ubuntu 26.04 in the picard-daily PPA. Or you can also try the AppImage from my Picard daily daily builds.
Flatpak builds will be updated shortly after the final release is out. They are handled on GitHub - flathub/org.musicbrainz.Picard · GitHub

The test build there is available for installation via:
