[Nirvan Jain] this week, i noticed the playlist filtering feature on the web version and tried bringing it to the lb app. I started the implementation but got stuck on some errors I’m still working through. Next week, i plan to open an issue for it and focus on resolving those errors.

[mayhem] still not feeling great (and not even sure why!) so do minimal amounts of stuff, just trying to keep things moving.

[monkey] Last week i did a lot of PR review, mostly for LB and a little bit of BB.
I looked into returning an MSID when submitting a playing now listen, so that Pano Scrobbler (and other submitters) can send love/hate feedback even if you don’t listen to the full track
Finished our AI usage policy, if you are joining us for GSOC, read carefully:

I also did a lot of ticket triage and laying out the GSOC project ideas we discussed with ansh
A little bit of data entry, and that’s about it for me.

Last week I was mostly looking at possible schema change tickets, and then I started implementing MBS-14092
[MBS-14092: Add support for series of series]
(because podcast awards sound cool)
Other than that, a fair bit of user moderation, especially since some people insist in being kind of dicks
Oh, and I spent some time reviewing the suggestions for STYLE-2760 and putting together a proposal of what we could be more clear about
[STYLE-2760: Sort name style for Release/ReleaseGroup]
(since we already support sort names in aliases but it’s not really something we make clear anywhere)

this past week: patching, jira version bump after security bulletin was released, maintenance of our github action for dnscontrol, usual MB edits

last week I did some code review and fixed a some small misc. bugs, MBS-14242 and MBH-593

[MBH-593: CORS headers not returned for rate limit responses]
also worked on implementing the digest authentication token changes in the web service and adding support for basic authentication, which is proving to be a bit harder than I hoped, and requiring me to untangle some messy auth code

last week, i worked on fixing some long standing bugs in LB. similar users OOM’ing, listener stats not updating, deleting playlists during user deletion, showing flair for anonymous donations.
and some other issues regarding displaying cover art on LB, and making progress on improving stats reliability.

Last week was mostly about preparing Picard alpha release (due tomorrow), so PR reviews
Plus usual admin stuff, upgrades, user support.

Ended up doing a lot of community/socials this week - not sure if I’ve just noticed more or there’s been an uptick. The occasional bit of moderation as well

I have to say that I have no idea how reosarevok has the energy to stay on top of user reports single-handedly - volume as well as some very annoying ones lately, indeed!
Been seeing heaps of monkey on our socials as well which has been so cool!

been extremely busy this week with exams, hosted an open source hackathon in my uni, it was really fun, in the coming week, ill be working on my pending issues and updating everyone here :)))

Last week I’ve deployed two Harmony updates, the first one included the release compatibility improvements that I mentioned last Monday.
Since I was already in the flow of closing smaller tickets, I’ve implemented filling of tracklist gaps for Tidal and iTunes (whose APIs sometimes don’t return all tracks ).
Together with a simple, yet important QoL change to skip the MB seeding confirmation page, this was worth another release.
Finally, I wanted to announce that I’ve got a full-time job starting mid-February.
While this means that I’ll be less available, you won’t get rid of me as I still have lots of MB releases to enter and helper tools to develop

Over the last days I was also working on Picard a lot. Mostly making sure we can do a good release. Testing, bug fixing and code reviews.
Also I have worked on the translation part, making sure things are setup well on Weblate. I added screenshots and cleaned up some strings while working on the German translation.
At that point also special thanks to MB users marcriera and oleh_hishak for working on the Catalan and Ukrainian translations. We touched a lot of strings in Picard 3. Catalan is the first language with 100% completion! Ukrainian is on third place.

[FaizanAkhtar] Last week , i focused on addressing the review comments on my pending PRs… I implemented the improvement suggested by monkey: and learned a lot in the process
I also open a new PR with meekhumor: and we’re working together to solve it

[MonkeyPython] Sorry, have been having some issues with mobilephones and connections and pinging and such in general
(fixed now)
as such I’ve not had time to look at instruments
but happily all the backlog of Other Crap I’ve been dealing with seems to be dvindeling down, so hopefully THIS week I can happily say that I will do instruments & bookbrainz documentation
