I’ve not done much, minimal emails, poked at some new mapper bug reports, paid people. that’s about it.

And making some last moment improvements.
And spent time fixing the tests on the MusicBrainz homepage PR

Happy New Year to all
On Christmas week I worked mainly on Picard, with outsidecontext and rdswift , alpha should be released during January
Apart that, usual user support, system upgrades, etc… and the last week I was almost totally off (for once), managed to get sick, feeling really bad since this afternoon.

as zas already said, we used the holidays to improve Picard. Now that the big parts for the new plugin system are in place we focused on bugfixing, stabilizing and merging some other PRs.
Still quite some work to get everything ready for a full release, but an early alpha is planned for the near future.

I was mostly off for the holidays, but over the break I did deal with some stuck edits, account registration issues and minor website availability issues
also worked on getting my search server development setup set up

[monkey] I also was completely off for holidays. I did work one single day between Christmas and today, but left the rest of the team in charge apart from that. Thanks team!
Work was mainly Year in Music, which seem to be pretty successful, and some discussions with new contributors.

No real work to report this time, only a few days of MB editing, if that counts (while discovering new music).
And I’ve used the holidays to rearrange my growing LP collection.
Hopefully Harmony’s Discogs provider will be ready soon to actually import all of them into MB

I was mostly off during the Christmas. I dealt with some emails, banned some spammers, etc, but no code work
Today I came back and spent most of the day dealing with triaging, emails, and adding genres and areas from the last 3 weeks.

Organised going to FOSDEM, and i’ve submitted a proposal for a 15m talk
and generally preparing for the new term and what it brings : )

last couple of weeks, I made progress on MeB OAuth stuff. hopefully we should be ready to migrate sometime later this month.
also, did some work on YIM 2025 and the fixes after the initial release.
some minor fixes to stats.
and helped out on the IRC anti spam measures.

Past couple weeks, I’ve mainly been working on SAMBL improvements, including an Apple Music provider from supersaltygamer, and some issues related to adding better list filters.
In addition, been working on the typescript refactor still and been fixing some long standing issues related to soundcloud.
Additionally, I opened MBS-14227 to hopefully help with apple music artist matching

in the past couple of weeks i:

• discussed some possible infra monitoring/metrics changes w/ zas
• implemented anubis for the chatlogs server after we started getting slammed by AI scrapers there
• helped with IRC spam measures on matrix side (apologies for temporary disruptions in IRC and discord bridging during those times)
• helped bring chatbrainz matrix server mgmt tools up to date
• successfully packaged software into an RPM for the first time : )

also a little patching here and there, as well as the usual MB edits

[Hemang Mishra] Past week we few bug reports, contributors have started working on them.
Reviewed few feature requests for app and gone through a few mockups. Hope to see some more features in our app soon!!

Had some time over the break to fix up some userscripts and do lots of MB editing

Merged some bug fixes from new contributors
Had to debug some case where ktor was not working, so spent time on that

[anuj_] This week I fixed a bug in listenbrainz android, and I found another bug currently working on it

[NirvanJain] this week i was mostly travelling but i managed to fix some minor bugs and implemented the requested changes on the Shimmer effect PR.
I also spent some time exploring the Listenbrainz website for features that could be brought to the app and noticed
that while the app currently only supports user search, the website has playlists, albums, artists and tracks search as well with their corresponding endpoint available, so after discussing this with jasje and Hemang Mishra , i am planning to open an issue for this feature. On top of that i recently worked on some figma mockups for the proposed search feature, which was really fun

I was travelling from home back to my college campus so i didnt do much. Still pushed a few prs. One of them needs more work and discussion around it (LB-1884). Working on contributing more to listenbrainz! I really love the community here and i wanna learn more from everyone here : )
