@reosarevok : Hi, and welcome to another MetaBrainz Monday Meeting!
Reviews
outsidecontext:
[mailed in] Last week I finally set up the Windows code signing for Picard using Azure Trusted Signing. It’s running well and actually simplified our Github Actions pipeline.
I also set up Windows and macOS code signing for the libdiscid binaries built with Github Actions. And while I was at it I fixed and updated the build pipeline. I’d like to do a new libdiscid release soon. Not much has changed, but there is a fix for the cmake build and the code signing also is useful.
On the Picard side I finally started looking into two outstanding tasks we had been discussing on the summit. I will finalize the changes needed to support the new MeB oauth and afterwards will get back into the new plugin system.

derat:
i realized yesterday that it might be possible to make yambs support merging recordings across multiple releases, so i spent some time implementing that. it seems to be working, so i’ll probably expose it through the web interface soon. i assume that it’s less streamlined than the mass-merge userscript, but it’s nice to have a non-userscript option
other than that, i spent a decent amount of time pointing editors toward style guidelines and cleaning up old releases from editors who didn’t respond to edit notes
kellnerd:
Last week I’ve started to refactor the data flow of the BB import producer and consumer.
There were a few redundant and confusing properties which made it annoying to recursively find and potentially import entities for use in relationships.
Looking better now, I also found another bunch of unused code that could be deleted following SoC.
Other than that, the usual MB edits and a Harmony update to seed edit notes for ISRC submission with MagicISRC.

[Shreyas] Last week, I started exploring the LB Android repository and got familiar with the codebase. While going through it, I found a couple of minor bugs and fixed them. Created 2 PRs to sort them out.
Beginner edit limits
Lots of discussion! Read the logs for more.
It was decided that 10 releases (maybe 20, this was not quite agreed upon), 20 images, and 1,000 edits a day seemed reasonable.
It was thought that blocking editing pages once the limit is hit (and leaving a nice image and/or message, with thanks and links to voting and forums there instead) makes sense. We have to be careful not to block people at the “submit edit” page in case they lose work.
Absent: atj (sick), yellowhatpro (1), @akshaaatt (3! removed from regulars, to be re-added when around again)
