New contributor looking for beginner-friendly issues (GSoC 2026)

Hi everyone,

I’m a student planning to apply for Google Summer of Code 2026 and
I’m interested in contributing to MetaBrainz.

I’ve looked through the Picard, ListenBrainz Server, and
MusicBrainz Server repositories but couldn’t find any open beginner
issues at the moment.

I’m comfortable with Python and would really appreciate guidance
on a beginner-friendly issue or task to get started with.

There is a link to our bug/ticket tracker site there, as well as a link to ‘good first bug’ issues.

I’m going through the GSoC getting started page now and will
check the bug tracker and good first bug issues linked there.

I’ll follow up once I’ve explored a few starter tasks.
