Network Feed: What are users I follow listening to?

Hello everyone!
This week in beta testing, we have move the “user you follows listened to a track” that were filling up your feed into a new page: ListenBrainz

On that page, you will be presented with the recent listens from all the users you follow, in a convenient infinite list.
You can switch between users you follow and users similar to you, making it an interesting page to press play on for some random discovery.
Reminds me of my entire-collection-on-shuffle-on-winamp days…

If you have any feedback, please don’t hesitate to share it here for the betterment of listenkind.

On a side-note, this has freed up some space on the right side of the personal feed page, as the follows/similar users widgets have moved to the new page.
What would you like to see there in its stead?

Maybe some kind of customization so someone taking a quick glance at the personal feed page gets a general understanding of the user’s listening habits and/or music taste?

An example, but there could be many different ways to accomplish this:

Hi, I’m currently into to [genre1], [genre2] and [genre3].

This could also include things such as a social media profile, favorite artists, top albums/artists automatically pulled from the stats, and so one.

I don’t mean like the bio of your MusicBrainz user page that lets you write anything, but just a few example sentences that can be customized by the user.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I think those are great ideas, and not only because I’ve been thinking along the same lines :stuck_out_tongue:
We do have a ticket for this, and an early one at that: LB-681
We have been improving the situation bit by bit every year, but still don’t have a good overview of a user’s taste (yet! I do have plans for this).

However in this case, I am talking about your personal feed page, and only you can see that page, so I feel like the “this user at a glance” sort of features are not so adapted for here (but rather for the landing page for a user, i.e. ListenBrainz).

But still, perhaps some statistics from the users around you, presented in the same way, could be interesting.
Something like top artists from users you follow, number of listens from your followed users, etc.
