Whenever I try to play music using Player, nothing happens and Picard returns this:
Internal player: error, code=1, msg=

The playback depends entirely on whether your operating system is capable of playing this audio format. What audio file format do you try to play on which operating system?

I’m also seeing this error trying to play an mp3 on Windows 10.
I’m seeing this same error on windows 11 with the picard internal player. I can play fine using windows explorer and the windows 11 media player. These are m4a files. Thank you.
Seems to be covered here:
Apparently, on Windows, the Picard internal player (mostly) does not work. The external player does. (However, the FAQ says it is due to missing codecs; that is not the case on my system, which has the codecs installed to play the file (m4a).)
