Might there be any risk in clicking on buttons in Github?

i’m interested to learn about how Github works at a very basic query level. i have no account there, but is it safe to just press some buttons and see what happens without altering any data?

Hi,

it should be completely safe to click around in the MetaBrainz repos .You won’t be able to alter any files. Having a look around, you might get a sense of how projects and code are organized, but I don’t think it will help you understand git itself.

If you’re interested in learning about git and/or GitHub, there are plenty of resources.
