MBP not importing year for releasedate, and how to get artist as label

I’m trying to submit some releases from MBP to the database, but I can’t figure out how to do the following two things for importing:

  • Year field isn’t being imported into the DB’s Release Event > Date field
  • Artist or Artist Album isn’t being imported in the label field

Is there a way I get set something in MBP so it uses those fields? I don’t want to have to do 78 releases manually.

Not sure about the date issue, but it’s very unlikely that Artist or Album Artist would be the same as the label. There’s a special-purpose label for self-released material, if that’s actually the case.

Release date seeding is something we should add, yes. There is a open ticket for this:

Not sure what the idea is behind the second point, but as @psychoadept wrote above the label field should actually not be filled with an artist.
