LB Radio nosim doesn't work

i want to generate some LB Radio prompts automaticly based on festival’s, (only add artist that play on that festival).

but when i just try it with 1 artist using nosim, it still adds similar stuff.
so i try "artist:(millionaire)::nosim

the query says using seed artist {artistName} only, but then still adds other artists

Indeed and I plan to work on that next week, once I return from summer vacation. Hopefully this fix will go out in the next couple of weeks!

nice, i have been waiting for this.

i was also bumping in to some other issues so i was wondering if it would be possible to add some extra bonus stuff.

  • currently only collections of songs work. but it would be nice if a collection of artist would be possible (in this case i would always do nosim, only use the artists in the collection)
  • what would be extra nice is if you could do events (you give the mbid of the top level event, it checks ALL the sub events for artists (that havent cancelled) and it makes a playlist of all the artists that play on that event

if that could be done aswel, thet would be super nice!!!

Sorry I didn’t get around to implementing your other suggestions, but the nosim issue is now fixed and live!

is there a way to prompt the listenbrainz radio to not include songs you have disliked?

Not currently.

I personally felt that this was something that should’ve been done right from the beginning, but people in general suggested that they wanted to see the playlist without filtering out hated tracks. It sounds like this should be an option that users can select, but we currently don’t have global options (only per stream options) so I’ll need to think about how to amend the syntax/UI to make this work.

Also filtering out tracks you’ve recently listened to, is on my wish list for LB-radio, but that is a very data intensive use-case for which we’re lacking the disk-space right now. We’ll have to wait on this one for now.

yeah, i asked the questions about the disliked songs because if i use the following filter it will suggest the one song of this band that i dislike the most (for some reason the general public thinks this is their best song, but i think it is because it is the only song that is in our native language, while all the other songs are in english

but yeah, 4 out of 5 times it will suggest “naive” or a different version of that song

i also find it weird that it only suggest 1 song in easy mode. while with other bands the radio suggests more songs.
