Last.fm import conundrum [RESOLVED]

Newcomer on ListenBrainz, after 16 years as a Last.fm user–long story.

Since yesterday, I’ve been trying to get an extra tune into my inaugural LB log from my Last.fm feed. Already selected “Add listens” → “Connect music services” → “Last.fm”; checked “Hide recent listening information” at LFM; and put “12/31/2025 5:00 PM” as the threshold. Only that I’ve been waiting for hours–no imports so far–and received a “Failed to fetch” error message the first time around. My scrobbles number 20,728 at this writing, 118 of them from New Year’s Eve; LB records 117 instead.

The reason for this discrepancy? Said cue lasted 20 seconds, and PanoScrobbler (which I use via Android) reset the scrobbling minimum to 30 after a recent update that completely passed me by; I’ve readjusted it to the app minimum of 10. (Hadn’t scrobbled in the four-month gap during which it happened.)

Does anyone have a diagnosis or a workaround?

UPDATE (3/1): Turns out:

  1. I didn’t have to hide my recent scrobbles to get the sync-up to work.

  2. The cue in question pre-dated the threshold by a couple of minutes; putting in 4:58 actually resolved it. Now we’re on our way!

It’s the other way around: Recent scrobbles must not be hidden in last.fm. Otherwise the importer can’t fetch the full listening history. So if this option was disabled all should be fine.
