Hi, I’ve had issue for basically ever since I started using the service, and I tried a few extensions that control volume of the content that plays in the web browser.
However, regardless of which source it uses (soundcloud, youtube) when going to next track, it always resets itself to100%, making the website pretty much unusable.
I want to be able to listen to people that listen to similar genre, then explore other artists, but sadly I cannot be bothered and can’t risk going deaf over it. I’m sure this issue has existed for a long time, does anyone know how to fix this?
also: is there a way to disable “track is playing” notification in the right bottom corner? because of it, I cannot stop playback in time and always get blasted at 100% volume, plus I know what song I’m playing, so I feel like there’s no need to show it? I hope it gets added to the settings.
At first glance, when testing myself, the volume is kept to the value I set when going from one song to the next.
This is true when I click next to play the next track and also when I wait for the track to finish and the next one to automatically play.
I tested youtube and spotify music sources and get the same result for both.
That explains why this was not on our radar, we were unaware of this problem since we didn’t run into it ourselves.
I am going to need a bit more information so I can try reproducing the issue.
Which device do you use ListenBrainz on? Desktop, mobile?
Which operating system and which browser are you using?
Regarding the notifications, that’s a great suggestion for a new BrainzPlayer setting. I created a ticket so we don’t lose the idea:
